Cannes, France
The Côte d’Azur has been hit by severe floods again and again. Since 2020 Anhamm flood barriers protect entrances in Cannes. They sit flush in the ground, stay open for people and cars and close by themselves when the water comes.

Overview
The Côte d’Azur in the south of France has been hit by severe floods again and again. Heavy rain turns streets into rivers within minutes. The floods caused major damage and even cost lives. Since 2020 the region relies on Anhamm flood barriers in front of public and private buildings.
The challenge
Entrances have to stay open for people and cars every day. When a flash flood comes there is no time to set up sandbags or mobile walls, and often nobody is on site.
The solution
Anhamm flood barriers lie flush in the ground in front of the entrances. When water arrives it lifts the flap and springs press it upright against the seals. No power, no sensors and no staff needed.
The result
Customer videos show the barrier sealing off the floodwater completely. The flap rises exactly as fast as the water comes in, so it always stays above the water level. Even when a person stood on the flap, it kept working reliably.
